Sentence Mix-up

So today, my students are going to be putting sentence strips in order. So I would like to show you the paper. This is called Masterpiece Mix-up, and really you could just use a one, two, and three and a four. So what has happened is I have printed off these. I got these off of the Teachers Pay Teachers site, and of course they have this sentence strip picture, and so the students are first going to look at the sentence strip picture and then they’re going to read each of the four sentences and so each of the four sentences is referring to one of the pictures. So what they’re going to do is put these sentences in order, and then they’re going to be writing it in order on their sentence mix-up sheet. This is an easy project to do with your students during a Quick Write, and then once they’re done if they want to read them aloud, that would be a great extension to their sentence mix-up, because sometimes if they put them in the wrong order they can hear themselves say that, so verbally saying their sentence or story out loud afterwards is a great way to add to that.
