Same and Different Ending Sounds
DeLynne Osborne | Wichita Public Schools | Wichita, Kansas
The teacher begins by using sets of picture cards and having students sound out the words using their fingers. After they have practiced several pairs of words with the same ending sound (bee and tree, bug and leg) the teacher starts adding words with different ending sounds. Eventually, the teacher moves away from the pictures and has students identify same and different ending sounds from hearing the word.
