Ideas for Teaching Sight Words

by

Amanda Leger | Wichita Collegiate School | Wichita, Kansas

This lesson focuses on Sight Words, commonly used words that don’t follow typical grammar rules. These words can’t be sounded out and have to be memorized. The teacher uses songs, flashcards, and a game to help students learn and recognize these words.
