A Fun Song to Practice Counting

I know a song, I know a song about five monkeys, and I’m going to sing that song. Will you sing that with me? And, while we sing I’m going to count the monkeys. You can count with me also. So, these are going to be my five monkeys. Can you show me five monkeys? One, two, three, four, five. I touched each one of my fingers while I was counting, did you do that? This is going to be the tree, and this is going to be the river. Will you help me? Five little monkeys swinging in a tree. A teasing, Mrs. Crocodile, you can’t catch me, you can’t catch me. A long came Mrs. Crocodile as quiet as can be, and SNAP! So now, I have one, two, three, four. Had to make sure I was counting them right. Did you make sure you were counting yours, right? Four little monkeys swinging in a tree. A teasing Mrs. Crocodile, you can’t catch me, you can’t catch me. Along came Mrs. Crocodile as quiet as can be, and SNAP! So, I’ve got one, two. I have one, two, three monkeys. Do you have three monkeys? Three little monkeys swinging in a tree. A teasing Mrs. Crocodile you can’t catch me, you can’t catch me. Along came Mrs. Crocodile as quiet as can be, and SNAP! I have one, two monkeys. Do you have two monkeys? Two little monkeys swinging in a tree.
