We as teachers know how important literature is. it’s important to have a variety of books out for your students to be able to see, and touch, and read but, another way that you can do that is having quotes in your classroom. You can put quotes anyplace. Sometimes it can serve as decoration on a piece of artwork, or on something as normal as a globe. Having a quote from “Be the change you wish to see in the world” from Gandhi, or a quote from Roald Dahl “If you’re going to get anywhere in life you have to read a lot of books.” By having these quotes in the room, we are challenging the children to improve themselves and to become better. We have the children memorize the quotes and then use them in specific instances in the classroom. I’m challenging you, put up a quote today and then call it out to your children, try it.
