Teaching Rhyming using Thumbs Up or Thumbs Down
Arta Quam | Wichita Public Schools | Wichita, Kansas
The teacher leads an activity that helps students recognize rhyming words by listening for words that end with the same sound. The teacher says two words. If the words rhyme, the students indicate with a thumbs up. A thumbs down indicates that the words don’t rhyme.
