Teaching a Letter and its Sounds

This video shows one way to teach letters and sounds, using “x” — a letter that breaks the rules! The students learn that it usually makes the /ks/ sound, but it can also sound like /z/ in “xylophone” and /ex/ in “x-ray” The teacher and students also sound out several words that contain the letter “x.”
