Good morning. How are you doing today? When I greet my students in the morning, I like to give them a handshake, a smile, and a good morning, how are you? This just allows me, to kind of get the feeling of how their morning is going, and for them to be greeted, at the door with a positive message. I also have them sign in on a clipboard here, that I just leave on a file cabinet. They have their name, and the day of the week beside it, and they also write the time, so I have a digital clock here that they use to write the time in. So, this is what that looks like. While their signing in, I like to greet other students. Again, with a hand shake, a hello and, a good morning. Getting your students off on a positive note is a great way to get them started on their day and they are ready to go. Try this in your classroom today.
