Demonstrating Solid, Liquid and Gas with Water

by

Sumita Ghosh | Wichita Collegiate School | Wichita, Kansas

The teacher shows students a glass of water as an example of a liquid, some ice as an example of the solid form, and steam as an example of gas. Then she asks them to color in a sheet that shows these same examples of the three states of matter. She also gives them a handout about how matter changes state: freezing, melting, and evaporating.
