Teacher: “Class.” Class: “Yes.” Teacher: “Hands in ice.” Class: “Hands in ice.” Teacher: “Gerald, would you come up, and lead us in the rules, please? Come on up.” Class: “Rule number one: Listen when your teacher is talking. Rule number two: Follow directions quickly. Rule number three: Respect others, respect yourself, respect your school. And rule number four: Raise your hand to speak. And rule number five: Be safe, be honest.” Teacher: “Alright you did a great job Gerald. Let’s Give him a ten finger, hold your horns. Here we go.” All together: “Toot too-ta-do, happy new year.” Teacher: “Alright let’s count our stars. Let’s take a look. We have.” All together: “One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine.” Teacher: “So were off to a great start here. How many smilies?” All together: “One, two, three, four.” Teacher: “How many sadies?” All together: “One, two, three.” Teacher: “Okay, looks like were doing a good job. We just got to remember who’s got to participate?” All together: “Everybody.” Teacher: “Tell your neighbor you got to participate.” All together: “You got to participate.” Teacher: “Tell your neighbor I’m going to participate.” All together: “I’m going to participate.” Teacher: “Tell your neighbor so you should participate.” All together: “So you should participate.” Teacher: “Alright, turn this way.” All together: “Morning meeting, morning meeting.”
