So, today I’d like to talk to you about alternative seating. Alternative seating is one of the most important things in my classroom, to help kids focus and attend to different lessons I am teaching through out the day. Alternative seating, sometimes can be ordered by a learning plan, and other times just you, as a teacher know when it’s best, when a student either stands or has some form, other form of a seating arrangement. So, let me show you what I have in my classroom. So, of course we just have traditional chairs, and then we have a t-stool. We actually have several t-stools. And, I will just show you how that works. So, students kind of straddle this, and they sit here, and their legs are um, far apart, and then, they get to balance on that and that’s a great one for those kids that um find that they kinda need to move, and that one helps them balance. Another one we have that’s balancing is this balancing ball. And, then we of course have wobble stools, which is popular. We also provide students for areas for them to stand. So, these back two tables are higher. And so, students they have the choice to either use that wobble stool, or the benches, and they can um, stand. And last, but not least, we have benches which gives just another texture, and an alternative option for us. These benches are great because they can move down, we can put two students on it, or even one, one student that needs a little bit more area to sit on. Try alternative seating in your classroom today.
